Designate a Sober Driver this Memorial Day
Weekend
Memorial Day weekend is
traditionally the kick-off for summer. It’s
also one of the deadliest drunk driving
holidays of the year. Celebrate safely this
Memorial Day weekend by designating a sober
driver before drinking begins.
Many local law enforcement agencies across
the nation will step up their drunk driving
enforcement this weekend with crackdowns
including sobriety checkpoints, saturation
patrols and “No Refusal” nights in which
drivers stopped for drunk driving are given a
mandatory blood draw if they refused a breath
test to determine their blood alcohol content
(BAC). read

Education Visits
 Over the past few years
P'Awe P'Awe
Puppies has worked
alongside therapy puppies of Hurricane Katrina and visited
numerous facilities in the area providing unconditional love
and affection to residents of area nursing homes and
retirement communities including Hospice, the Woodcrest Villa Home and a few personal Make A Wish
and ARC grants.
P'Awe P'Awe
Puppies also visited with
numerous elementary classrooms and Girl Scout, Brownies and
Daisy Troops educating our youth on the general care required
to raise and train a young puppy.
If your school or organization would like
the
P'Awe P'Awe Puppy Therapy Team to provide a free visit or
a free educational visit to your local school, please contact
us. Visits and educational seminars with P'Awe P'Awe
Puppies are absolutely free, professionally supervised and
insured. In most educational arenas educational coloring
handouts are provided free of charge at the teachers approval
of course.
Why do we do this? In 2006 we lost our beloved Pop-Pop
Ray-Ray to a courageous battle of cancer. While battling his
cancer he was a resident of Hospice. While there we saw the
therapy puppies visiting the patients and bring smiles and joy
to those patients during their last days. So, we figure if
we could provide some joy and unconditional love, why not? We
have been blessed so let's pass it on...

26th Annual Lancaster YMCA Triathlon
P'Awe P'Awe Puppies and the United Way

Over 180 Triathlon entrants as
young as 16, men and women alike swam 5 miles, biked
15 miles and ran another 6 miles to complete the
triathlon while the United Way Day of Caring
volunteers orchestrated refreshments, checkpoints,
medical assistance and overall sportsmanship. |
|

Puppies Popular Mix Yorkie-Poo Puppy,
proudly owned by
Natalie M. of Manhattan,
graces the cover of the
New York Post on Thursday, February 16, 2006.
We are so very proud of "Buddy" to be selected
as
cover model spokespuppy for NYC's puppy contest. Natalie writes us often
of how this little fella is lucky enough to meet many
celebrities including Kelly Ripa, Carson Kressley
and comedian Rosie O'Donnell just to name a few and to have even caught the eye of the
Piano Man himself,
Mr. Billy Joel!
